Also known as DPN's appear on approximately one-third of people with Fitzpatrick skin types V and VI and their number increase with age. It is rare to see develpment in children and they are more prevalent in females than males. Approximately 40-50% of those affected  will have a genetic connection.

 

DPN's will not regress spontaneously and can be safely and effectivly removed with Diathermy.
